Web logs of the central WWW server
Fachhochschule Potsdam automatically collects and stores information in the log files of the web server that your browser transmits to us. These are:

Computer name or IP address of the accessing computer

The temporary storage of the IP address by the system is necessary to enable delivery of the website to your computer. For this purpose, the IP address of your computer must remain stored for the duration of the session. In addition, we use the data to ensure the security of our information technology systems and to optimize our website.
Of the above data, the IP address is considered personal. Your IP address is only stored for a short period of time and then completely anonymized (deleted or alienated). After that, the aforementioned data are no longer personal. They are deleted as soon as they are no longer required to achieve the purpose for which they were collected.
The legal basis for the temporary storage of the data and the log files is Art. 6 (1) lit. f DSGVO, because there is a legitimate interest of the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam to detect and eliminate malfunctions and to optimize the site.
Handling of form data
If our website offers the possibility to enter personal or business data such as names, e-mail addresses, addresses, etc., this data is disclosed on a voluntary basis.
